Signs of a Damaged Fuel Line

Fuel Line Replacement
Follow these steps to replace the fuel line on your lawn mower!

Gather the necessary tools
Before starting, gather a new fuel line, fuel line clamps, pliers, a fuel line removal tool, and safety gloves.

Preparation 
Ensure your lawn mower is turned off and the spark plug is disconnected to prevent accidental starts. Place the mower on a flat, stable surface.

Locate the fuel line
Identify the fuel line by following it from the fuel tank to the engine. Note its position and any connections it may have.

Drain the fuel
To prevent spills, empty the fuel tank by either siphoning the fuel or using a hand pump.

Remove the old fuel line
Use pliers and a fuel line removal tool, if necessary, to disconnect the old fuel line from the fuel tank and carburetor.

Install the new fuel line
Cut the new fuel line to the appropriate length, ensuring it matches the dimensions of the old one. Connect the fuel line to the fuel tank and carburetor, securing it with fuel line clamps.

Test for leaks 
Once the new fuel line is installed, reconnect the spark plug and add a small amount of fuel to the tank. Check for any leaks by inspecting the connections closely.
